Classical Ballet Technique

Classical Ballet technique classes focus on alignment, style, musicality, virtuosity, and individual expression. The school follows a specific graded curriculum divided by age.  Each level is designed for the developmental needs of the age group. Students are trained with classical ballet terms in French.

Pointe work begins when the student has learned basic technique and when her legs and feet are sufficiently developed. Usually after 3 years of technique class.

The students learn variations from the original choreographers of the past.   They study famous ballets such as Marius Petitpa’s Sleeping Beauty Ballet, Cinderella Ballet, Paquita Ballet, Swan Lake and many more.  This challenges their technical abilities and prepares them for professional opportunities.
